Micro-macro models provide a powerful tool to study the relationship between microscale mechanisms and emergent macroscopic behavior. However, detailed microscopic modeling requires tracking evolving potentially high-dimensional configuration space at high computational cost. In this work, we present novel parallel algorithm for simulating micro-macro model of gliding motility assay. We utilize holistic approach aligning data residency simulation scales with hybrid CPU multi-GPU hardware. Our achieves speedup factor 9.25× over previous GPU-accelerated methods on same Furthermore, by decoupling dependencies in microstructure update, are able efficiently distribute multiple GPUs minimal overhead. test up four observe excellent scaling, suggesting that significant further speedups achievable additional GPUs. enables simulations higher complexity resolution than would otherwise be feasible.

متن کاملa study on thermodynamic models for simulation of 1,3 butadiene purification columns
attempts have been made to study the thermodynamic behavior of 1,3 butadiene purification columns with the aim of retrofitting those columns to more energy efficient separation schemes. 1,3 butadiene is purified in two columns in series through being separated from methyl acetylene and 1,2 butadiene in the first and second column respectively. comparisons have been made among different therm...
Enabling Distributed Simulation of OMNeT++ INET Models
Parallel and distributed simulation have been extensively researched for a long time. Nevertheless, many simulation models are still executed sequentially. We attribute this to the fact that many of those models are simply not capable of being executed in parallel since they violate particular constraints. In this paper, we analyze the INET model suite, which enables network simulation in OMNeT...
متن کاملProject Proposal: Hybrid GPU/CPU ray tracing for massive models
The speed and high exponential growth in performance of modern programmable GPUs makes them an attractive platform for the implementation of many compute intensive algorithms previously run on CPUs. One of the major techniques in computer graphics is ray tracing, which is an essential building block for many algorithms, especially for global illumination techniques. It is also embarrassingly si...
